…and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love
has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 5:5

Discussion-Based Learning

Our teaching time is different than most churches. Instead of a traditional sermon, our lead teachers introduce us to a passage, we spend time reading it on our own, and then we dig deeper in small, discussion-based groups. Our teaching time is concluded with a brief overview and application by one of our lead teachers.

We believe that worshipping together is a powerful way to train our children to follow Christ and that children are a gift from the Lord for our church body. If you need to step out with a child, there is an unstaffed nursery (with a live video feed of the service) where you are welcome to care for your children.

Does fellowship sound like a “churchy” word? It is a word that is used in the Bible often and simply means “sharing” or “participation.” Each Sunday we share our lives and a meal with one another during our service. You can contribute by bringing something to share or by helping us serve and clean up. Guests, please don’t feel pressure to bring anything!

Kyle was raised in Eure, NC. He and his bride of 14 years, Jennifer, have seven full-of-fun kiddos. Kyle enjoys reading books by dead guys and working on the family homestead.

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
–Romans 15:7

Pastor & Elder, Hope Fellowship

Joe was raised in Gatesville, NC. He gave up playing music professionally to be a better husband and father and has been running a small, local business since 1999. Christ redeemed him soon after the Columbine tragedy. His passions are his family, hiking western national parks, and music.

For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.
–Romans 16:19

[L]earn to do good;
seek justice,
    correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
    plead the widow’s cause.
–Isaiah 1:17
